The University of Birmingham’s Online Masters of Public Administration has been specifically designed to equip public-sector professionals with the tools necessary to help make a positive difference, to help manage change and evaluate impact within local governance and strategic public management. The online format meets the needs of busy professionals who are balancing full-time careers and personal commitments alongside their studies.

There are three intakes a year. Students can join the programme in March, July or October.

Entry requirements

In order to be accepted onto the Online Masters of Public Administration, applicants must possess:

  • At least an upper second-class degree or postgraduate diploma from a UK university or equivalent
  • 3.5 GPA
  • Two references
  • A statement of purpose

For international students, standard English language requirements apply. You must have an IELTS 6.5 with no less than 6.0 in any band.
