Accounting and Financial Management

Applicants develop understanding of the principles and practice of financial strategy and accounting, the context in which they operate and how they are managed.

Entry requirements

Applicants must possess a minimum of a 2.2 UK Honours degree (or equivalent) in accounting. Applicants with a business undergraduate degree will be considered, and will be counselled towards taking the financial management and financial performance options. Accountancy undergraduate students have the option of completing this master's course alongside the final year ACCA. For applicants who have not studied their previous qualifications in English, an academic IELTS score of at least 6.5 will be required.

Course modules

Business analysis; risk and advanced financial management; decision management; corporate reporting; corporate and social responsibility; research methods. You will need to study two of the following four optional modules: advanced financial management; advanced performance management; advanced taxation; advanced audit and assurance.

Assessment methods

Applicants submit a dissertation for which they carry out a substantial piece of research on an accountancy or financial strategy issue.
