International Management

This programme is for students who want a management career that takes them around the world or who will work within international organisations with multi-country operations. The focus will be on global decision-making and the role of management in a cross-cultural context. Overseas students wishing to study in a different culture will find this course attractive, as will UK students wanting to develop international knowledge and experience of a wide range of cultures. The course will develop your intellectual capabilities of research, critique, synthesis and innovation, culminating in a masters' level dissertation. You will develop academic and professional skills that will allow opportunities for career development and further study. You will also gain lifelong learning skills and develop on a personal level so that you are able to work with self-direction and originality and to contribute to business and society at large.

Entry requirements

Applicants should have a UK Honours degree/postgraduate degree (or equivalent). For applicants who have not studied their previous qualifications in English a TOEFL score of at least 575 (written)/230 (computer-based) or an academic IELTS score of at least 6.5 will be required.

Modules include: Research and study skills; business development; financial management and decision making; HR in a global context; information systems and business performance; strategic management; international marketing management; research methods; dissertation.
