Teaching and Learning

The course gives applicants an understanding of the principles and practice of effective teaching, including planning, assessment, evaluation, curriculum development and the professional ethics of teaching and learning.

Entry requirements

Honours degree and a teaching qualification which can be either QTS or post-compulsory; or the ability to provide evidence of teaching and learning practice; all applicants are interviewed; applicants must also have current appropriate employment; applicants whose 1st language is not English require a recognised English language qualification at the appropriate level for this course, i.e. IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.

Course modules

Research awareness and support skills (20 credits); organisational management (20 credits); curriculum studies (20 credits); research methods: field studies (20 credits); plus 2 specialist options; plus the Master's dissertation.
