In addition to enhancing specialist knowledge in the field of psychology, students enhance their key and transferable skills such as leadership, teamwork, data handling and project management; these skills are developed and practiced using traditional learning and teaching methods including lectures, seminars, workshops and practicals.

Entry requirements

Upper 2nd Class Honours degree in psychology that is recognised by the British Psychological Society for the Graduate Basis for Chartership; applicants whose 1st language is not English require a recognised English language qualification at the appropriate level for this course, i.e. IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.

Course modules

Modules include: Concepts and principles of research design; qualitative inquiry; quantitative inquiry 1: analysing multivariate relationships; quantitative inquiry 2: advanced experimental and non-experimental techniques; plus 2 options from: cognitive and neuropsychological assessment for clinical populations; psychoanalytic approaches to psychotherapy; psychology of decision making; computing and cyberpsychology; current issues in developmental psychology; current issues in cognitive psychology.
