Leisure and Sport Specialisms
Research degree supervision is available in a number of areas within the social sciences and humanities; these include leisure and sport history; leisure, lifestyle and well-being; leisure, sport and physical activity policy; and community regeneration.
At least a lower 2nd Class Honours degree in a relevant subject; for direct registration for the PhD applicants should also have an MA or other postgraduate qualification in a relevant subject; applicants with alternative qualifications that demonstrate the appropriate knowledge and skills to begin doctorate-level study may apply; applicants whose 1st language is not English require a recognised English language qualification at the appropriate level for this course, i.e. IELTS 6.5 or equivalent. Current employment in a leadership/management role in health, social care or voluntary sector.
