Leadership in Health and Social Care

The course develops students' understanding of service organisations, including the roles of the people involved in managing and leading those organisations, and the changing external context in which they operate; it helps students prepare for, or develop, their management career in the health, social care or voluntary sector by developing leadership and management skills; an essential function of every manager is the ability to analyse and evaluate complex issues, both systematically and creativity, to improve services; this course helps students develop these skills, along with their ability to build and develop teams, manage individual and team performance and their change management skills.

Entry requirements

2nd Class Honours degree or equivalent in any subject, or a relevant professional qualification and/or substantial experience in management; current employment (paid or unpaid) in an appropriate role; non-standard entry qualifications are considered; applicants whose 1st language is not English require IELTS 6.5 or equivalent; applicants areinterviewed.
