Community Public Health Nursing (for Health Visitors)
The principal aims of this course are to enable you to continue your professional development and top-up your existing postgraduate specialist community public health nursing qualification to complete a masters degree. Once you have consolidated your practice, post registration and gained a deeper understanding of your professional practice, this top-up course will enable you to benefit from further higher level academic study. The course will enable you to make effective use of your learning to influence and improve health care and service delivery within the workplace.
Applicants must have already successfully completed the Postgraduate Diploma in Specialist Community Public Health Nursing (Health Visiting).
If you are currently employed by the NHS you may be able to apply for funding for individual modules through your line manager. Please contact your employer for further information. Usually, NHS-sponsored students will be asked to apply through the NHS Health Education North West CPD-apply system. If you will be a self-funding student, please apply directly to the University.
