Digital Arts and Media

This course blends the use and application of key arts and media digital production techniques and technologies with an in-depth understanding of the contexts for today�s rapidly changing arts, media and public communications environment.

Entry requirements

Applicants require a 2.2 or above in an area relevant to their proposed programme of study from an approved degree-awarding body; or, any subject, together with skills and experience in a relevant area. Candidates applying to the course with non-standard qualifications will be judged on an individual basis using the University�s APEL (Accreditation of Prior and Experiental Learning) procedures. IELTS at 6.0 or the equivalent.

Course modules

Core modules: visual arts and digital media; image and identity; issues in digital media; media dissertation; options; digital videography; digital arts (engaging the audience); philosophies of media and film; screen realism; alternative film and media.
