Opportunity for managers or potential managers to combine academic study with application of their learning to their workplace; flexibility in programme entry points, start times and time taken for completion; at Postgraduate Diploma level, health and social services managers are able to work jointly.

Entry requirements

Degree or recognised professional qualification required for MSc; appropriate NVQ level 4 or PgCert or equivalent or substantial middle management experience required for PgDip; plus current employment in health or social services organisation. IELTS at 6.5 or the equivalent.

Course modules

Core modules: MSc: managing self and job; managing resources; context of health services management; option modules: 4 from range available for Postgraduate Diploma, for example managing: enterprise, personal and team effectiveness, service delivery, finance, information; business and service planning; plus research methods and data usage; plus (MSc only) project.

Management project.
