Dementia Studies (Training in Dementia Care)
The course is aimed at practitioners working in the field of dementia care who wish to develop their skills and knowledge in relation to the development, delivery and evaluation of training in the field of dementia care, with a particular focus on person-centered care training. The course addresses the need to develop the capacity of individuals and organisations to provide quality training to staff in order to deliver good-quality care for people with dementia and to promote sustainability in training of this nature within organisatations.
A recognised health/social care related professional qualification, have at least one year's post-qualifying experience, and have the written agreement of support from managers and evidence of negotiated access for practice requirements. IELTS at 6.5 or the equivalent.
