Advanced Practice (End of Life Care)
This programme offers healthcare professionals the opportunity to engage in full-time or part-time postgraduate studies and to develop the skills to meet the challenges of delivering and advancing quality healthcare within a global context.
Applicants are required to be currently practicing in the field of cancer care in specialist and non specialist settings and should be registered on the NMC or HPC register; applicants also normally have completed a 1st degree or equivalent, and also usually have a minimum of 2 years post-registration clinical experience.
PG cert: supporting those facing loss and; symptom management in life limiting illnesses or; palliative care for children and young people with a life limiting illness. PG dip, pg cert plus:; advanced competency based learning in clinical practice or; prescribing module or; applied pathophysiology and pharmacology in acute and long term conditions or; dementia module and ; undertaking systematic review or; research methods in health and social care. MSc, pg dip plus: dissertation module or; systematic review or; work-based project.
