Medical Imaging (Computed Tomography)

Includes 5 weeks attendance, 45 weeks clinical practice; course content: clinical computed tomography (CT): undertaken in CT department of student's base hospital; CT principles and protocols.

Entry requirements

1st degree or professional qualification in radiography required; access to CT scanner for 3 days per week essential; courses primarily aimed at qualified radiographers, must have suitable experience in the area of imaging relevant to the specialism they are following; must have support of appropriate departmental manager, and guaranteed access to a specialist unit for at least 50 per cent of working week.

Course modules

Research methods in health and social care (30 credits) (o); undertaking a systematic review (30 credits) (o)plus:; 1 module from the school of health studies cpd module collection (30 credits) (o).

Self-funded, unless employed in the Northern and Yorkshire region NHS Trusts.
