Clinical Pharmacy (Community)

This programme aims to equip pharmacists in community pharmacy or primary care with the knowledge, skills and behaviours to deliver safe and effective patient-centred care in partnership with the multidisciplinary team. The programme now includes optional pathways to meet a range of service needs, support for learning networks and the opportunity to register as an independent prescriber.

Entry requirements

Students need to be working in the UK; be registered with the GPhC; have access to patients; be working in the UK; have access to the internet. IELTS score of at least 7.0 in each of the four subsets (speaking, listening, reading and writing).

Course modules

Dermatology; endocrinology and cardiology; gastroenterology; pain; respiratory; psychiatry and neurology; people in organisations; personal development planning; commissioning and negotiating for pharmacy services; dissertation.

Assessment methods

Dissertation.
