International Business and Management
The course is designed for students who wish to gain the knowledge and research skills that will help them to thrive in an increasingly dynamic global business environment. The course offers a number of students the opportunity to study abroad at a collaborative institutions overseas.
1st Class Honours degree from an approved university, or an acceptable professional qualification; usual entry requirement for the generalist Master�s are UK degree minimum lower 2nd Class Honours, international degree grade point average (GPA) of a minimum of 2.5 out of 4.0 or 6.5 out of 10 or overall average of 70%; all non-UK applicants are required to provide proof of proficiency in English, a score of 6.5 in the IELTS, 580 in the written TOEFL, 240 in the computer-based TOEFL or 94 or better in the internet-based TOEFL is the minimum requirement.
Compulsory modules: business economics; accounting and finance; human resource management; international business environment; marketing; operations management; strategic management; European business management; cross-cultural management; international business in emerging economies; international business strategy. Elective modules: applied intellectual property and environmental law; business ethics; consumer behaviour; contemporary issues in accounting and finance; corporate social responsibility; decision support for sustainability; diversity in works and organisations; entrepreneurship and innovation; environmental management and quality systems; financial statement analysis and valuation; information systems planning for sustainability; international finance; international school ; management of change; marketing communications; services marketing; strategic accounting; strategic financial management; strategic marketing; strategic marketing simulation; sustainable operations and management; technology and innovation management.
Assessment is by a combination of written examinations, assignments, group projects and presentations.
