Business Administration (Executive)

The course is designed for those who are working full time and will either be funded or supported by their employer, or able to study block modules in their free time and vacations. It is designed to fit around the careers of busy working managers and professionals. This contemporary and practical programme will give students sharp strategic, financial and people skills they need to progress and perform effectively at senior levels.

Entry requirements

A degree (not necessarily in business and management) from an approved university and at least 3 years' relevant postgraduate work experience to be considered for the Executive MBA. Minimum IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.

Course modules

Core modules: business accounting; business economics; operations management; marketing; managing people; managerial and professional development; business ethics and sustainability; business research; strategic management; corporate finance. Elective modules: business simulation; capital markets and investment management; consumer behaviour; corporate marketing; corporate social responsibility; e-business; entrepreneurship; financial risk management in European banking; global supply chain management; international business in emerging economies; international business strategy; international financial management; innovation and intellectual property; management of change; management consulting; management information systems; managerial leadership; marketing communications; mergers and acquisitions; project management; services marketing; sustainable operations.

Assessment methods

Assessment is by a combination of written examinations, assignments, group projects and presentations.

Sponsorship information

Merit scholarships of up to £10,000 are available to support high calibre students for entry to the Executive part-time MBA in the UK (September 2014 entry). Scholarships offers will normally be made during the offer process based on your application for the programme. You do not need to make a separate application for the scholarship. There is no closing date for entry but early applications are encouraged as they are subject to availability (capped scholarship fund).
