Civil and Structural Engineering

This course is designed in a way to address a balanced curriculum between advanced technical and design skills, and research skills. Optional modules are also included to offer students more choices and meet their interests and needs in civil and structural engineering.

Entry requirements

2.2 Honours degree (or above) in a relevant discipline from an approved degree-awarding body; candidates who do not meet this requirement but have extensive industrial experience in a related area are considered on an individual basis. English language requirements: IELTS at 6.0 or the equivalent.

Modules: advanced geotechnics; advanced numerical methods ; advanced structural analysis; advanced structural engineering project; design optimisation; engineering vibration; case study; advanced project skills; earthquake engineering; environmental computational fluid dynamics; finite element methods; risk management; steel and composite design; MSc project.
