Mechanical Engineering

This course is designed to provide an advanced level of knowledge and understanding in mechanics, materials selection, manufacturing, mechatronics, control, plus computer-aided design and engineering techniques to design and develop integrated mechanical systems.

Entry requirements

2.2 Honours degree (or above) in a relevant discipline from an approved degree-awarding body; candidates who do not meet this requirement but have substantial industrial experience in a related area are considered on an individual basis. English language requirements: IELTS at 6.0 or the equivalent.

Interdisciplinary competitive design; design optimisation; engineering vibration; advanced manufacturing technology; computational fluid dynamics; materials and manufacturing processes; interdisciplinary competitive design; advanced solid mechanics; research skills; engineering computational methods; polymer engineering; supply chain management; MSc project.
