Interdisciplinary research and practise is promoted throughout the course, and creative collaborations are developed between designers, fine artists, architects and thinkers wishing to follow an advanced course in interior design; the course explores both the intellectual idea and the spatial language of interior environments; students develop new skills whilst extending existing design practises in order to precisely articulate spatial design proposals; at least one study trip is offered each year; the study trip might be site related to the design studio and/or a trip that offers students direct exposure and experience of some of the most contemporary spatial designs projects in Britain and Europe.
A good degree (2.2 or above) in a design-related subject; in exceptional circumstances, ie where an applicant has several years experience working in a design industry, applicants with non-design degrees are considered; interview with portfolio; for non-native speakers of English: IELTS 6.5 overall and 6 in writing.
