There are 7 distinct applied ethics degrees to choose from exploring applied ethics or ethics in relation to art and design; education; healthcare; media; medicine; or politics.
Normally an undergraduate degree or equivalent. Appropriate accredited modules completed as part of other masters degrees, or their recognised equivalent, are taken into consideration. For non-native speakers of English: IELTS 7.0 overall and 6.5 in writing.
All years: Core modules: Introduction to philosophical thinking; moral thought and practice; research methods; research ethics; plus 2 specialist modules; plus a research project, supervised jointly by 2 members of staff, 1 from the core area, and the other from the appropriate option area.
