University of Brighton
The Centre for Research in Innovation Management (CENTRIM), part of the Brighton Business School, has a strong tradition in collaborative research with other universities, large international organisations and governments as well as local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs); the centre provides opportunities for suitably qualified and motivated people to study for a research degree (MPhil or PhD) on either a full or part-time basis in the area of technology and innovation management.
MPhil: a 1st or 2nd Class Honours degree in relevant subject, ORappropriate research or professional experience at postgraduate level; PhD: a recognised master's degree relevant to the programme of study, or a substantial appropriate research or professional experience at postgraduate level which resulted in published work.
We link student PhD projects with ongoing work in CENTRIM and accept students only on the basis that their work aligns with the Centre's research programme areas; in this way, we ensure a team context for hands-on learning, support through apprenticeship and mentoring, and a focus on live outcomes in the innovation field.
