Internet and Distributed Systems

The course focuses on the development of applications and management of data in a distributed environment, especially on the design and build of scalable and secure internet applications, and re-usable software components; the course emphasises practical issues and current technologies for the development of internet and distributed systems, and also provides students with an opportunity to conduct in-depth research into a specific issue and/or problem in this area of computing.

Entry requirements

Either a good Honours degree with a major computing content or three years industrial experience gained in a software development environment and a good Honours degree; for non-native speakers of English: IELTS 6.5 overall and 6.0 in writing (or equivalent qualification).
