Clinical Studies and Education

You will study 3 core modules and select a further 60 level 7 credits in education modules and complete a dissertation. Modules are available in extensive (over 13 weeks), intensive (over five days) or online study modes. Any combination of these modes of study is available, providing students with flexible learning opportunities. For the work-based learning module, you are required to attend an introduction day and up to four 3-hour action-learning sets spread over the 2 semesters, plus a full day where you will present your work at the end of the module. This module can also be taken online. Please note that you must have access to work in a professional practice setting to complete this module. You will also have the option to �step off� the full masters; exit awards are offered at postgraduate diploma and certificate levels.

Entry requirements

Degree and/or experience: normally relevant first degree plus appropriate professional qualifications and some post-professional-qualification experience. Candidates able to demonstrate a potential to work at a postgraduate level will be considered. Accreditation of prior learning is available, where appropriate. Candidates who have successfully completed the Graduate Certificate in Acute Clinical Practice may have 30 credits counted towards the MSc in Clinical Studies. Students must be in practice. The course is available to international students on a full-time basis; however they must also meet the requirement of working in professional setting throughout their studies. For non-native speakers of English:IELTS overall 7.0 and a minimum score of 6.5 in all elements, or equivalent qualification.
