Practice-based Education

The course benefits health or social care professionals who want to develop their role as an educator in the practice setting, and earn a formal postgraduate qualification. The course is suitable for professionals from a variety of settings who are involved in the education of health professionals, junior staff, students and patients. You will explore the concept of learning in the practice setting, broadening your knowledge and capabilities so you are confident in your approaches to practice-based teaching. As a student on the course, you will share your learning with a variety of health specialities, allowing you to benefit from intra-professional collaboration. Our programmes are designed to allow students from other disciplines, and in some cases other professions, the opportunity to exchange knowledge and expertise.

Entry requirements

Degree and/or experience: Degree or equivalent.
For non-native speakers of English: IELTS 6.5 overall, with 6.0 in writing and a minimum of 5.5 in the other elements.
