Managing Change and Innovation

This course provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary for leading the practice of change and harnessing innovation. All of the classroom teaching is workshop-based which promotes group discussion and the sharing of experience. Each of the modules incorporate real-life case studies.

Entry requirements

The standard entry qualifications are a degree or professional qualification equivalent to a degree, plus at least 3 years' professional work experience. Applications will also be considered from managers with at least 5 years' experience who do not hold a degree or equivalent qualification. In order to benefit from, contribute to and enjoy the course, a good command of spoken and written English language is required. If English is not a 1st language, students need English language proficiency equivalent to an overall IELTS score of at least 6.5, with 6.0 in the written test and a minimum of 5.5 in the other elements.

Course modules

Managing the human aspects of change; political and institutional perspectives on change management; the leadership of change; systems and complexity approaches to change management; managing new forms of innovation; managing innovation through strategic projects; change or innovation-focused integrated management project.
