Finance and Banking

With the banking industry undergoing major changes, there has never been a more exciting or challenging time to join the profession. The Finance and Banking MSc aims to provide the knowledge and skills required to help organisations understand complex financial issues and develop practical solutions. The course explores the changing environment within which financial institutions operate, the globalisation of finance, changes in technology, and the regulatory environment. Students will also gain an appreciation of the evolution of finance and banking theory, as well as contemporary debates and controversies. Guest speakers are regularly invited to discuss curriculum topics so attendees get professional insights into contemporary issues. They will also develop advanced research skills that, as well as providing a solid foundation for their dissertation, will be sought after by employers. Students will be taught by experienced professionals who are active in consultancy and maintain excellent business contacts. This ensures that the course is industry-focused and continually updated to meet the changing nature of the financial sector. A specialist option and dissertation provide opportunities to tailor your studies to your individual interests and chosen career path.
