Social Work

This two year, full-time MSc is for graduates of any discipline wanting to train and qualify as social workers. Through its integration of academic and vocational learning, the course gives you everything you need to make a start in the profession. There is a focus on the applied social science knowledge base of social work and on the development of subject knowledge, skills and values. We address the College of Social Work's Professional Capabilities Framework (PCF) throughout the course, as well as the Standards of Proficiency for Social Workers as set by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). The HCPC regulate both the profession of social work and the courses through which it is taught, and you are therefore required to conduct yourself in line with their guidance on conduct and ethics.
