Professional Education Studies
The Professional Education Studies course offers a range of modules that will benefit you if you work in professional or voluntary education and training, and want to enhance your skills and knowledge. A selection of specialist routes are available to suit your personal or professional interests, and constitute a flexible work-based learning programme developed in association with local education authorities. This is part of a government drive to improve the skills in the teaching profession. We can typically work with a single school or a cluster of schools to meet specific local needs. Credit-rated routes to the various awards enable you to build from postgraduate certificate and postgraduate diploma to Master's level. The course is designed to fit around your existing work or voluntary commitments; the part-time course design ensures minimal disruption to your personal and professional life.
Range of subject degrees as part of initial teacher education; Qualified Teacher Status-bearing degree; or PGCE; interview (telephone interview for overseas applicants).
