Classics and Ancient History
Within this programme students can choose a course of study that matches their research interests. Whichever they choose, they will enhance and develop their skills and knowledge in Greek and Roman cultures and their impact through the ages. Students can explore new areas and disciplines, or gain a firm grounding in the traditional skills of the classicist or ancient historian. There is the opportunity to study both Latin and Greek languages at any level, from beginner to advanced.
An upper 2nd Class Honours degree (or international equivalent). Non-traditional qualifications/routes may also be considered.
1st semester: research methods; theories and approaches; 2 optional units. 2nd semester: research methods; 2 optional units; dissertation.
Eligible students from the UK and European Union may be able to apply to the Ars and Humanities Research Council; faculty bursaries may also be available.
