This programme aims to: Provide a higher degree in orthodontics for dental graduates; prepare students for the Membership in Orthodontics (Morth) at 1 of the Royal Colleges of Surgeons. The course will enable students to develop the ability to design, undertake and apply appropriate research to relevant clinical problems.
BDS or equivalent qualification, which can be registered with the GDC, and the MFDS (Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery) or equivalents are desirable. In some cases, satisfactory completion of a 1 month period of pre-programme assessment during September of the year of entry will be required.
Programme structure: The programme is broadly divided between academic modules, treatment of patients under close supervision and a research project.
