Research Methods in Psychology

This programme will provide you with a theoretical and practical grounding in psychological research techniques, preparing you to go on to a PhD programme in experimental psychology or related disciplines. It can also lead to other fields where you may apply your psychological knowledge and research skills, such as industry or education. The core of this programme comprises a set of units that teach you the practicalities of carrying out research. The aim is to provide training in a broad range of techniques, through taught content, research seminars and practical research experience.

Entry requirements

An upper second-class honours degree in psychology (or international equivalent). Previous professional experience or qualifications can also be put forward for consideration as equivalent to the academic entry requirements given above. These will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
