Accounting and Finance

This course is designed for managers of the future who recognise the need for businesses to service a wider range of stakeholders. The course consists of a rigorous and intellectually demanding study of the 'core' disciplines of financial reporting; corporate finance; corporate governance; research methods; strategic management accounting and auditing together with a wide range of options.

Entry requirements

A 1st or 2nd Class Honours degree (or equivalent); with significant accounting content from a recognised university, and or substantial relevant work experience; good command of the English language both written and oral (IELTS score of 6.5 or equivalent with 6.0 or above in each component).

Course modules

Accountability, responsibility and governance; advanced corporate finance; auditing; behavioural finance; dissertation; financial reporting 1 and 2; financial risk management; investment strategy and portfolio management; money, banking and financial markets; quantitative and qualitative empirical methods; strategic management accounting.

Assessment methods

Dissertation.
