Financial Service Management
The programme aims to provide an analytical framework for the study of finance and management, focused towards the financial service sector. The emphasis throughout the programme is on contemporary financial service theories and their application in real-world decision-making in the financial industry and the roles and responsibilities attached. It is particularly designed to develop a range of conceptual and analytical skills for dealing with a variety of financial service theories, issues, practical financial service business situations or cases and the strategic nature of demands within the financial sector. The programme is aimed at students who have recently acquired their bachelor�s degree in management or service related fields and wish to enhance their knowledge of managing and working in organisations within a wide array of competing economic, social, political and cultural conditions.
A minimum of UK Honours degree 2.2 or equivalent in financial services, business, management, actuarial studies, economics, finance, accounting, investment or any other financial services related subject; for this programme, students whose first language is not English are also required to hold the minimum equivalent of an IELTS test score of 6.5 with the writing and reading component to have a minimum score of 6.5.
International business environment; statistics for business and economics; the financial system (individual and institutional investors); international financial regulation, compliance and anti-money laundering legislation; advanced corporate finance; integrated service management and marketing; managing people and leadership in service; quantitative and qualitative empirical methods; project management.
