International and Commercial Law
A 1st or 2nd Class Honours LLB; applicants whose 1st language is not English require IELTS 6.5 (with 6.0 or above in each component).
Core module must be studied: advanced legal research. Optional modules for the PgDip include: banking law; commercial conflict of laws; corporate insolvency law; indigenous peoples and market manipulation; international human rights; international intellectual property; international medical law and ethics; international oil and gas law; international trade and maritime law; law of business organisations; law of war; law of world trade; money laundering, off-shore banking and asset recovery; public international law: issues and contemporary practice. Optional modules for the LLM include: corporate insolvency; intellectual property law and the creative industries; international sex and gender laws; internet law; law of business organisations; media law; money laundering, off-shore banking and asset recovery; dissertation. If a specialism is taken, further specialist modules may be taken.
Assessment methods include examination and written assessment.
