Innovative Computing

The course enables students to understand a range of modern computing technologies, apply technologies in practice, demonstrate the roles that modern computing technologies have in many areas of application, demonstrate the value of development in 1 specific technology and its applications.

Entry requirements

2.2 or above degree in computer science, computing or information systems, or equivalent; applicants with slightly lower qualifications may be considered for the postgraduate diploma with a possibility of upgrading to MSc at a later stage; applicants who do not have English as a first language should have an IELTS score of 6.5 or above (with 6.0 or above in each component).

Course modules

Scripting languages and techniques; applied imaging techniques; mobile and wireless communications; applied data mining techniques; information security in communications; web technologies and applications.

Assessment methods

Assessment is by examination and written assessment.
