Student must be 18 at the start of the programme. 3 A-levels at AAA (or equivalent), including Chemistry, and at least 1 more Science or Maths subject. General Studies or Critical Thinking are not acceptable A-levels. These must be achieved in one sitting. OR; 5 Scottish Highers at AAABB, including Chemistry and another science, achieved in the 5th year, plus 2 advanced Highers at AA in Chemistry and one other subject. International Baccalaureate, with an overall score of 36, including a score of 6 at higher level in Chemistry and 1 of Maths, Biology or Physics, with either Maths or Physics at least at standard level. Passes required at standard level for Maths and English, if not taken at higher level. European Baccalaureate, with an 85% overall score, including 85% in each science option, to include Chemistry and one other Science, or Maths. The equivalent of a UK Bachelor's Degree (in a biomedical science related subject) at 2i or above. Applicants who have previously attended a medical school and/or transfers from other undergraduate science or medicine programmes cannot be accepted. Biomedical Science degrees (not exhaustive, ask admissions for further advice): Anthropology, Biology, Biochemical Sciences, Biochemistry, Biomedical Informatics, Biomedical Science, Biomedicine, Chemistry, Dentistry, Human Biology, Medical Biochemistry, Medical Engineering, Medical Sciences, Nursing, Pharmacology, Pharmacy, Philosophy, Physiology, Psychology, Science. Applicants whose 1st language is not English require IELTS 6.5 (with 6.0 or above in each component).
