History of Art
The department of history of art welcomes applications from graduates to undertake research towards a PhD. Our research degree offers the opportunity for independent research under the supervision of a departmental member of staff. The research is undertaken entirely by the candidate on their own, with regular supervisions on progress with their supervisor.
MPhil or MA degree in history of art or a related discipline.
Research topics include: Medieval; early modern; modern and contemporary art; and architecture as well as topics involving critical theory and gender.
