Contemporary Chinese Studies
This course is designed for graduates who wish to specialise in contemporary China and have no (or very little) prior knowledge of the Chinese language; the course combines intensive Chinese language study with training in Chinese economics, politics, anthropology, culture and society; in addition to the course fee (university composition fee) students may have to pay a college fee.
2.1 UK Honours degree; or overseas equivalent; where English is not 1st language IELTS score 7.5; or TOEFL score 620 in conjunction with 5.0 in test of written English; or Cambridge certificate of proficiency grade A or B are required.
Assessment is based on essays exams and a 12000-word dissertation.
