Areas of research include: genetics and breeding; diversity genomics; disease resistance; novel and non-food crops; crop protection and nutrition; farming systems; plant pathology; soils and cultivation; variety evaluation and management.

Entry requirements

At least a 2.1 Honours degree from a UK university or equivalent; for students whose 1st language is not English: IELTS overall band score of 7.0, with not less than 7.0 in speaking, listening and writing, and 6.5 in reading; TOEFL: paper-based test: 600 with 5.0 in the Test of Written English (TWE); TOEFL: internet-based test: 100 with a minimum score of 25 in each element.
