Research is carried out on plants at all levels, from molecular to ecological; the main areas of research are: plant biochemistry; whole plant physiology; molecular biology; molecular pathology; molecular virology; epidemiology and modelling; metabolic signalling; vacuole research; signal transduction; stress physiology; quantitative ecology; spatial and temporal spread of diseases; tropical ecology; physiological ecology; in addition to the course fee students may have to pay a college fee.
Upper 2nd class Honours degree or overseas equivalent; applicants whose 1st language is not English must demonstrate competence in English (IELTS 7.0 with at least 6.0 in each element; or other acceptable test).
