Haematology

The main fields of research are: molecular pathogenesis of leukaemia and lymphoma; crystallographic structure and function of the serpin family of protease inhibitors; structural biology of bacterial toxins and of other proteins in health and disease; pathogenesis and therapy of thrombosis; platelet immunobiology; molecular and epidemiological virology; development of blood components, including virus inactivation, leucocyte depletion and novel antibodies; in addition to the course fee (university composition fee) students may have to pay a college fee.

Entry requirements

Upper 2nd Class Honours degree or overseas equivalent; applicants whose 1st language is not English must demonstrate competence in English (IELTS 7.0 with at least 6.0 in each element; or other acceptable test).
