International Relations and Politics

Research areas include: comparative politics of Western Europe; politics of Africa; comparative politics of religion; Middle East and North Africa; international relations theory; international organization ; international security; international political economy; international constitutional law; globalization and development (from the centre of development studies); urban governance and development (from the centre of development studies); research methods.

Entry requirements

Minimum GPA of 3.85; 1st from UK university (or equivalent); for those whose 1st language is not English and who have not previously studied for a degree in an English language university, evidence of proficiency in English: an IELTS score of 7.5 (with a minimum of 7.0 in each individual component).

Course modules

Three taught modules, a module in research methods and a 20000-25000 word dissertation.
