The course has 5 themes: citizenship, democracy and education; nationhood and mass schooling; the impact of economic and cultural globalisation; the democratising of education; democratic schooling; there are also 2 short courses: reading educational research; conducting a small-scale research study; in addition to the course fee, students may have to pay a college fee and a university composition fee.
Upper 2nd class Honours degree in a relevant subject; American Bachelor degree, GPA 3.5-4.00; those whose 1st language is not English require IELTS 7.0; interview.
