Research in Second Language Education
This course is primarily aimed at applicants with an interest and background in foreign or second language in the UK and abroad; applicants normally have BA degrees in a foreign language (including English), literature, or in language education, and an interest in some aspect of applied linguistics; in addition to the course fee (university composition fee) students may have to pay a college fee.
Upper 2nd class Honours degree in a relevant subject; American Bachelor degree, GPA 3.5-4.00; those whose 1st language is not English require IELTS 7.0; interview.
Modules include: Introduction to language learning theories and L2 pedagogies; designing L2 studies and analysing L2 data.
Some ESRC studentships may be available.
