Planning, Growth and Regeneration
This course emphasises the importance of a multi-disciplinary approach to understanding growth and regeneration problems and creating policy solutions; in addition to the course fee students may have to pay a college fee.
1st or upper 2nd class Honours degree or equivalent; applicants whose 1st language is not English must demonstrate their proficiency via a formal test and reach the required standard.
Compulsary modules include: issues in public policy and regeneration 1; urban and environmental planning 1 and 2; research methodology; real estate development; plus options from a list including: legal issues in land use and finance; regional growth; urban economics; housing and regeneration.
Assessment is based on essays; written and oral examinations; dissertation; successful completion enables continuation to PhD study.
