The course is appropriate for all those who need or wish to develop and/or extend their understanding of UK employment law.
Honours degree to a good standard, or its equivalent; applications from all candidates are be considered on their merits and in the light of the nature and scope of the programme or work proposed; informal enquiries are welcomed and are normally be followed by an initial advisory interview.
Modules include: Foundations of law (for non law graduates); collective labour law; equality at work; security in employment; research methods; dissertation; plus options including: privacy and confidentiality; employment law in practice; European business law; European Union as legal actor in business relations.
Assessment is by coursework, with the exception of the Dissertation.
Graduates of the University of Central Lancashire have a 20 per cent discount on tuition fee if self-funded; graduates of the University of Central Lancashire with a 1st Class Honours degree can apply for the Gilbertson scholarship.
