The course provides students with analytical and reflective skills and expertise in law; enables students to develop their academic ability and enhance their performance in employment.
A recognised British Honours degree to a good standard, or its equivalent. Applications from all candidates will be considered on their merits and in the light of the nature and scope of the programme or work proposed. Informal enquiries are welcomed and will normally be followed by an initial advisory interview.
Compulsory module for students with non-law background: Foundations of law; plus all student take: Advanced legal research; dissertation; students take a total of 5 taught modules from a wide range of options covering: Business law; employment law; environmental law; human rights; information communication law; international law; medical law.
Assessment is by coursework, with the exception of the dissertation.
All students who have undertaken their degree at this University are entitled to a 20 per cent reduction on postgraduate courses; career development Loans.
