Fashion Brand Management

This course is specifically designed for those wishing to either establish or sustain a successful managerial or professional career within the fashion brand industry, and with a minimum of 2 years work experience; the course provides a rigorous process of personal and managerial development, alongside in depth brand development knowledge; it provides opportunities to reflect upon existing behaviour and attitudes in the light of challenging business and management concepts and frameworks; students apply the latest thinking on business management to the analysis of the key problems being experienced by the world's major businesses, appreciate the concerns and problems that face fashion brand managers in today's global environment, develop strategies to enhance brand performance and sharpen team-working and leadership skills.

Entry requirements

Completion of an undergraduate programme or 1st degree in a relevant subject (e.g. retail management, international business, fashion and brand promotion, marketing,) at 1st or upper 2nd classification, or at the equivalent of a UK Grade Point Average of at least 60 per cent; alternatively a professional qualification deemed to be equivalent; all applicants must normally evidence a minimum of 3 years relevant and appropriate postgraduate work experience for the MBA qualification; international students, in addition to meeting the above minimum entry requirements the University requires a score of at least 6.5 in the British Council IELTS test; score of 600-650 in the TOEFL paper-based test supported by a pass in the associated test of written English may also be acceptable; alternatively a score of at least 250 on the TOEFL computer-based test is acceptable; the application form must be accompanied by: evidence of creative thinking, e.g. a recent project or practical work, which demonstrates brand awareness and concerns within the fashion industry; plus a personal research project proposal.
