International Heritage and Event Management
The programme has been designed to provide a high quality vocational, personal and intellectually challenging education for those wishing to enhance their knowledge, skills and appeal to an the international market; emphasis throughout the programme is therefore placed on developing a range of professional, managerial and transferable skills to be aligned with an extensive knowledge of management disciplines applicable to heritage and events today.
A recognised university undergraduate Honours degree, with at least a lower 2nd Class classification; or a professional qualification deemed to be equivalent.
Modules include: Principles and practice of tourism, hospitality and events; management development; managing hospitality and event operations; international heritage; event planning and management; research methodology: philosophy and practice; dissertation.
Assessment methods include: Reports; essays; presentations; seminar papers; dissertation.
