Logistics and Supply Chain Management
This course is specifically designed for those with little or no work experience since graduation and who plan a professional or managerial career in the field of logistics or supply chain management. It enables students to develop the ability to use SAP software to enhance business operational performance, to apply the latest thinking to the analysis of key problems being experienced by the world's major businesses, to possess a thorough understanding of logistics and supply chain management and to use project management software effectively. Students also undertake postgraduate research work into a topic relevant to personal interest or future career plans.
A recognised university undergraduate Honours degree, with at least a lower 2nd Class classification; or a professional qualification deemed to be equivalent.
Core modules: Managing organisations, people and projects; e-logistics and international supply chain management; operations strategy; operations excellence; business processes management with SAP R/3; supply chain planning and control; research methods; dissertation; 1 optional module from: managing ERP with SAP R/3; customer service management; business analysis.
Within each module the assessment methods are designed to contribute to your continuing development, giving feedback on a regular basis, identifying opportunities for improvement, and providing periodic evaluations of progress.
